Apple Berry Crisp

Servings: 8

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen

  • 5 Ambrosia Gold® apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ⅓ cup sifted all-purpose flour

  • ⅛ tsp salt

  • 5 Tbsp butter

  • ⅓ cup quick rolled oats

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375˚F.

  2. Lightly grease a 1 ½ to 2-quart baking dish.

  3. In large bowl, combine apples, berries, ¼ cup brown sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. Toss to blend.

  4. Place apple-berry mixture in prepared dish.

  5. In medium-sized bowl, combine flour, salt, remaining ½ cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

  6. With pastry blender, or two knives, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly

  7. Stir in oats.

  8. Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and golden.
