Apple, Bacon & Cheese Crostini
Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced into 24 rounds
3 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 Ambrosia Gold® apples, cored and thinly sliced
6 oz brie, sliced
2 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp lemon juice
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Arrange baguette slices on a sheet pan and brush with olive oil. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
In a medium bowl, toss apples with honey, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
Top each crostini with a slice of brie and a few apple slices. Return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese begins to soften.
Top with bacon and thyme. Serve warm.
